When Franz Josef passes away . . .

. . . does the fighting capability of A/H diminish? When the event played on Early July '16, I planned some offensives with A/H and the troops performed horrendously. Is there a morale hit when the event fires? If so, is it a one-turn event or continual? If there is a morale hit, is it due to the loss of 20% alignment in all provinces in A/H? Or is it just the unimaginable - just poor play ;) ? It may be my imagination, but I thought that the PWR level of infantry divisions that used to stand at 104 - 112 all of a sudden were at 64 - 84.

And while I'm thinking about it, what exactly does that 20% alignment loss in each A/H province really mean? I know it didn't affect A/H's alignment to the CP, as it just fell the standard 1% from 72% to 71%, just like all the other nations during that turn (excepting Russia, of course).

Although I have the game I don't play it enough to answer your questions in detail.

I thought Franz Ferdinand had been found alive, which meant WW1 was all a mistake, however I may have been mis-informed.

Ah, just realised, wrong Franz..... alcohol may be involved in this post, sorry.
