Naval Replacement of Destroyed Elements- Naval Mod

This makes no sense. A unit of 4 battleships with 3completely destroyed elements can be back to full strength in 30 days?
I'm pretty convinced at this point that there needs to be a major mod to overhaul the naval stuff. Off the top of my head, the best option would be each capital ship be a unit with one element. That way, when the unit loses its one element, it is destroyed.
Also, with the way the game handles stacks, this would work well. Both the british and the germans used 8 unit divisions for the battle lines. A leader + 8 one element units would make a stack. It would give more reasons to have more naval commanders, especially if stacking was turned one for naval units.

If you have lost 3 battleship elements it is going to take a lot more than 30 days to get that unit back up to full strength. The last time I looked it took something like 200 days for those ship units that receive whole elements to be operational. They get locked when they receive an element.

Even if it is 200 days, which I haven't seen, that is still to fast for a replaced element. That implies 200 days to build a brand new ship to replace the lost one. Not realistic.

I'm not sure where you are getting 3 destroyed elements replaced in 30 days or even 200 days. Note my picture.... on the far right you'll see four battleship elements that are each 50% damaged. On the left, it shows that it is 350 days for them to be repaired. That's 700 days if elements were being replaced.

Yep. Don't place your naval units lacking an element on passive stance in a port by accident ;-) ...

Been there, done that. It's such a pain, as your ships are locked for years.

Wouldn't reducing capital ships to units of one element also fix the issue with getting stuck in port?

It would, but then it would introduce the problem of increasing the number of counters by 4 to achieve the same concentration of power.

How would this matter?I assume we could turn on grouping of units under commanders for naval units, and the limit seems to be 9 elements to a stack. I am not sure I am understanding the problem.
