Was This Actually A Ship Used in Germany?

Was this actually a German ship?
Looks more like a Mississippi steam river boat.

Germany used large numbers of rivers steamers in both Cameroon and Togoland. But both were thinly occupied colonies and I doubt very much if they has luxurious side-wheelers like these!

Looks very similar to the boats used in the movie about Chinese Gordon that starred Charlton Heston.

Fine, but my Mississippi steam boat is stationed in Bremen, Germany.
Is there a chance that this will be corrected?

Google images for Rhine Steamers of the era and you will see many that approach this design. I have actually seen many of them upriver, obviously later done but still with the looks of the time.
But apart from that, you cannot possibly expect 100% fidelity in all images, the game would have been twice the size!

It' probably looked more like this. According to Wikipedia it's been in service
off and on since before WW1

Yep, that's one. I have ridden on one of them, I think it was this Goethe. In Koblenz, a few years ago. Really fun, especially when they "park" on the various riversides that call for stops and keep the engines running against the speed of Rhine's current. This keeps them idle.
