How to Change Commanders???

Sun Dec 13, 2015 6:01 am

Hi,

I have just started playing TEAW and though the manual explains that there s a cost in NM and VP to change commanders of Armies, it doesn't explain how to do it ... Is there a dismiss commander button somewhere? or do you drag and drop a new one in? Sort of looked and tried a few things but have come up 'empty handed'. The answer is probably blindingly obvious but I cannot find it! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

regards,

Tony

There are three command buttons at the bottom to the left of the display of the leader and the troops he controls. The middle button is used to form corps and to promote/demote leaders. Select a few generals and look at how this button displays different options.
To promote a general to army command you need to be in range of a GHQ, so the leaders you select may not display an option they would display if they were closer to the Theater Commander. So next, check around your three star leaders until you get one to light up the army command button instead of the corps command button.
Once you have found an army commander, with the mouse cursor hovered over the commander you will see a pop-up box detailing the costs if you promote or demote the leader.
Poke around and check back with further questions.
