Extra conscript events?

Wed Aug 12, 2015 4:38 am

I have a feeling the answer is no, but I'll ask anyways. I'm in late October 1915 and went on a buying binge with new units and replacements (heavy, heavy losses in the summer) so that my conscripts went from 2500 down to 500. Are there any events that happen or RGD's that pop up that give a boost to conscript pool or do I have to be very judicious from now on and live with the monthly increases?

If not, I'll have to wait to see if my gambit pays off. My inflation is now at 6% due to two state money RGD's to pay for my splurge, however, those units and replacements have been coming in just in the knick of time. My western front had begun to stall and the WE actually launched a few counter-attacks (thank you for the NM!), but with extra units I was able to feint an attack south of Verdun and now the north is opening up nicely again!

Almost more importantly, my much ignored ally, A/H was able to move troops away from Serbia and Russia, repulse the Italian attacks and should stabilize that front (at the least) while I twiddle my thumbs in Serbia (yes, it is still alive, but barely). Once my defensive generals have stabilized the Italian Front, I can move a good offensive general back to Serbia and finish them off.

As for the EE, Russia is beginning to falter against the superior German troops and several objective/strategic cities are within my grasp. Ottoman's continue their slog through the Caucasus, but still need to take Baku (I think?). Their military power is down to 40% of the CP's and unless they get a lot of good recruits, the Eastern Front is finally looking good.

NM stands at 109 CP, 80 WE, 77 EE.

As per my knowledge you will get 800 Manpower in Jan 1916, the last lot.
You must have got 1200 in Jan 1915, WE also gets 1000 each in 1915 and 1916
EE gets some 800 & 600 or is that 800?

Anyway, by mid-late 1915, Russian manpower starts running low, coupled with their ammo problems, they shouldn't be able to launch any massive attacks.
WE if left alone will blast the Ottomans apart (if you are in PBEM), if against AI, you will win this game.

Usually purchases must be made in 1914 and 1915, after that you should only keep buying replacements, otherwise you will face a manpower problem.
WE gets USA and Italian manpower in 1915 and 1917/1918 so, they compensate better in the long run.

Thanks. Shri, that was good to know and thanks for the advice about just buying replacements from 1916 on. I kind of figured out that was the only way to go but was a little worried I bought new troops too late.

It's great to know that the Russians won't be able to load up from their reserves (probably a lot to do with RUS Gold!!). I was also thinking that their NM will easily fall below 75 and maybe 70 by the end of winter so that they may not be around much past spring 1916 if I have any success on that front (which I should) that should bring Lenin to Red Square!).

I am pleasantly surprised that the WE have not been near the Ottoman border of Palestine yet. I have seen fleets and transports go to and from Cairo but no troops at the border yet. I hope that they have been ferrying them back and forth and settled on helping France out more than Egypt. That has helped the Ottomans inch up the Caucasus and at least grab Kars and Erevan and pushing west (to Batum, not Baku) and north in hopes of diverting more Russian troops.

I had the initial intent of going heavy on submarine purchases to see if I could cripple the WE economy, but that looked doubtful, so now I am thinking about keeping my sub presence lower in the Atlantic to slow down the USA entrance into the war (currently at 62% CP).

Once again, thanks for the advice and the fore-knowledge of conscript event. I can at least breathe a sigh of relief.
