Does game accurately recreate the western front stalemate of 1915-17?

Hi, I have recently purchased the game (I'm still wading through the manual) and I was wondering if the current version of the game recreates the stalemate that occurred on the western front?

The reason I ask, is that I've read some old posts from back in December that discuss how the western front is to fluid to accurately reflect the stalemate that occurred between 1915-17 and I was wondering if this problem has been addressed in the current version.

Hard question to answer as it depends upon game play. But yes, the current version is much more likely to have a locked down western front than the first release.

Hey Patrat,
I am involved in 2 PBEMs, 1 of them, a mega 7 player (both as Germany/CP- i like playing only as CP or EE); and i can assure you the Western front is almost a stalemate. Though a few small offensives and counterattacks are possible from time-to-time.

Thank you for the quick replies.

It looks like this is the game I've been looking for a long time. I'm looking forward to getting proficient enough in it to eventually join in a PBEM game.
