Ammo Woes

I've noticed that it seems like my units never have any ammunition. One example being during the invasion of Belgium in Schlieffen Plan I have munitions dumps but when they are sent back to Brussels which is a level 2 or 4 depot they don't fill up with ammo?

I've rarely had any problems with the overall level of ammunition, however I am extremely puzzled as to why it seems like even when in my own territory or territory that I have taken control of and even along railroads none of my stacks seem to be supplied with ammo when their amount of general supply I manage quite well.

In beta I never really noticed this issue, but how have people been dealing with it?

Build 5-10 munitions factories. Once you get over 5,000 ammo, the supply push/pull mechanic works much better. I find having tiny amounts of ammo scattered around the map tends to keep it held in place. Don't do this as the EE, though. Russia is better off building out the LA pool.

Yes I agree about Russia, AFAIK LA doesn't use up ammo this only applies to MA and HA amd SHA correct?

Also do you concentrate the factories in a specific area or build them in largest cities?

Ive always been building them in Paris, Lyon, etc. Perhaps closer to the front?

Correct. It's a quick way to up Russia's gun count without having to build the munitions units and infrastructure.

It doesn't really matter. The critical thing is just getting lots of ammo for the supply mechanics to push around.
