Game Turn Crash Issue, seems this was fixed in WIA?

Wed Dec 31, 2014 10:58 pm

Hello all,

Using the Dec6th 1.04rc3 beta patch. Playing as the Ottoman Empire I began to experience "the crash to menu" bug too. After reading several fixes and applying them such as the replacing your saves and using the ones in 'Backup' Folders in 'Saves', nothing is working.

I did turn on Error Logging, and noticed this:

4:37:02 PM (Reporting) TUnit.CheckConsistency 1001121 Heinrich Frh. von Heß renamed from UnitDef DB to Heinrich Frh. von Heß

I checked around other AGEOD games to see if this might be a carry over issue from other engines and it might be, as this was plaguing WIA players too with the weather damage processing causing a crash, hope this helps with the next public beta patch

I am hoping Pocus reads this and can fix my save as I am having a ton of fun modernizing the 'sick man' of Europe :)

Hi,

Sorry, back from vacation. I'll try assembling a new PON rc this week-end, but I can't make a 100% promise!

I had a similar problem, of the game crashing to the menu when I would end turn.
The workaround I found was to press the "resume" button on the menu, wait for the game to reload, and end turn again. Nothing was lost, and the turn ended correctly, with no crash.

This still happens from time to time, and the fix still works.

Hope this helps, while we anticipate the patch,

Well, this does eventually work. But combined with the fact the crash rate is in around 90% now of the time, it makes it unplayable, so yes eagerly awaiting a fix in the next release candidate :)
