This may all be one related problem, but I have noticed that occationally:
  • when you go to drag a new unit to the map, you cannot "grab" it. You hear the click and the unit highlights, but no matter where you try to grab it, it does not move. If you keep trying different units at different locations, eventually the ability will be restored.
  • when you are moving a unit, and you grab the unit in the unit box, as soon as your curosr is out of the unit area and on the map , the map begins to move as if you are draging the map. End result is that you cannot actually place the unit where you wanted.

edit: It just happen again and one led to the other. I tried to move a unit in the unit box, I grabbed it but as soon as the cursor got into the map area, the map began to move. I move the unit back to the unit box area. I then tried to grab it again, however, I started having the first problem above where I could not grab it. Not sure if this is always related, but will make an effort to note it when it happens.

Something here is really weird. Are you using the right mouse button at any time? Can't say your issue is widely reported though. If you activate Error Log, what is the FPS you get in the red box?

Dont use the right mouse button. I'll check the FPS next time it happen. I should say its occurrence is only once every 3 to 4 turns, so its hardly a major thing.

Also, I have played April,1861 through April 1862 and have not experienced the original bug. I turned back on replays and pause battles in fall of 1861 and still nothing(of course pause battles is apparently disabled)

do you need replay when playing solo? Because this is a memory intensive function, I would disable it in solo.

About pause on battle, please check the new release candidate 8 on that! thanks.
