Hi there , just bought CivilWar 2 on Steam and im very impressed !!
As a long time modder for EuropaUniversalis IV and CrusaderKings2 i tought about modding CW2 now

First Question , and hopefully someone can help me out :

Where do i find the "code/settings" for the background of the Tooltip ? For me the allmost "pure black" BG is a bit too much , i just want to make the opacity a bit stronger.
I found the Color of the Fonts etc but not were the BG is defined...

Would be great if someone can give me a hand here.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with your request (don't do any modding, only a little scripting in PON).

FrontEnd

These files define the boxes, windows, popups, etc. in the game. They can be modded, but ne ones must be added by the developers, as they are deeply imbedded in 'the code'.

Hopefully some Dev here could help me out ..
i think its somewere in the FrontEnd Files. But in the Tooptip Files i can only change the color/fonttype etc.

The background of the TT window is hard coded to black and opacity 230/255. Once CW2 1.04 is official, I can probably & quickly do something about that for the next patch, but we are speaking weeks here. Keep that on your list and PM me in October, while you learn or do something else

Maybe just an entry in the UserInterface.opt if possible.

Coming from the "today somehow arrogant" Dev´s over at Paradox as a Modder (MEIOU&Taxes,NBRT+ Mods) its very nice to get such quick response from a Dev.
