Shouldn't Republican militia forces be labeled as such?

I have been enjoying this game quite a bit recently. After playing the Nationalists, I am now playing as the Republicans. I was surprised to see that the militia forces icons carry the line infantry symbol instead of the typical militia symbol with the "M". Given that the militia forces are much inferior than the line infantry, having the same symbol makes it a chore to know how to allocate forces: I have to click on each element and read the popup box to see if it's line or militia.

Perhaps I am missing something--Is there a reason why an "M" was not used? Is there an easy way a modding ignorant person like me could mod the "M" back in for my game?

My take, this is a game where militia and regular units bleed into each other. No such thing as pure militia as these likely get promoted to regulars with care and training.
I agree it takes extra management, but the boundaries of units is more fluid in this game.
