Download it from THIS LINK - thanks to Erik Springelkamp
OR
THIS ONE - thanks to GlobalExplorer, who has also made a music mod - HERE

Un-RAR it into \Espana 1936\SCW\Sounds
Then also add a version musics.ini found in musics (under attachments) in the same place (make a backup of old file).
There are three versions of musics.ini attached:
- Musics (All).rar <-- complete pack will be played
- Musics(Nationalist).rar <-- only Nationalist songs will be played
- Musics(Republican).rar <-- only Republican songs will be played

Go in the game, options, media and set as seen on the screen shot below

ENJOY NEW MUSIC!!!

How to uninstall
Delete all files that begin with SCWM and restore old musics.ini

Feedback is welcome, also bug reports and comments on songs ;)

And my favourite - Bandiera Rossaas a Punk-Rock song performed by Slovenian band Pankrti (Bastards). Incredible popular in the ex-Yugoslav republics to this day.

I really didn't like some of the browser warnings that were triggered by that download site, and I aborted the download.

When AGEOD would host these files I would use them.

Hm, I have uploaded it to my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tv82x3dmkeyfjuv/GJmu9YxofM/SCW%20songs.rar
Hope it works and is better than mega.
AGEOD (usually) does not host unofficial stuff.

Thanks, I copied it to my own Dropbox, that went instantly, and that way your bandwidth is not affected. (if there is a limit on it)

By the way, if you want, I can also put it somewhere on springelkamp.nl.

Making this available should be no problem. I can also host it if you have problems.

Since I was already working in the same direction I also make available my own version.

I basically hand picked a smaller selection of songs than in Carniums mod, because I didn't like some songs.

Thank you both for your two mods ! España 36 was deserving such a soundtrack ! :hat:

By the way, Carnium, to add to your cover list, here's a version of A las Barricadas, by the French band "Les Amis d'ta femme" :

What computer specs do you have? Maybe the full mod is too much for it? Please try with Republican or Nationalist musics.ini first.

By the way, an easy method to get the (correct) file names is via a batch file:

dir *.mp3 >> files.txt

Then edit files.txt and copy "Music* =" part in each line

That way there can be no typos etc

Thanks. I was using dir /b *.mp3 >list.txt
Old school rules

That is a possiblility, it is why I asked. I am using a windows 7 partition on a Macbook air with parallel, so I push the limits a bit. But in general I don't have any problems with this configuration and I use it for massive multivariate analysis of gigabite files with matlab...(yes I know it sounds quite geek).

Is anyone experiencing crashes with using this mod? If yes, please try with republican or nationalist musics.ini ONLY!

I'm getting crashes with the full list, either all, Republicans or Nationalists. I'm going to edit it down just to include a few songs, it may be the long list overruns some sort of buffer in the game or something. :sherlock:

Update: never mind, all is fine with the latest patch. Only tested with the Republicans Musics.ini (I can't stand listening to the Fascist music while playing the game.....).

I don't know if Carnium ever made a different version, the original one is still for download: http://www.global-explorer.de/SCW%20songs.rar

If you have problems or if you want something different you can try my version. I have made a more lightweight list and opted out a lot of songs. I only kept those which I think were either really important or powerful. http://www.global-explorer.de/canciones.html

Should new songs have come to your attention, let me know, we could update this collection once or twice a year.
