Borat would say "mmmm I LIKE"
Is the graphic from a comic? It looks like Hugo Pratt's Corto Maltese.
BTW.. we need a MOD section for SCW.

Great work!

Firstly, a very good mod - on the other hand a great torment! :p leure:

The "Various Armies" are clearly my favorites with all the redesigned trucks. :coeurs:
Also, some from “Vehicle & Guns Armies” I like better. So I installed some – not all. :)

But the "Land Portraits" are a real pain for me! :crying:
I can not decide. I like the vanilla also very good.
It would be a great help for me, could someone tell me from this which is closest to the historic original!

I wish somone can redisign the the airfield graphic.
I don't like it at all! :non:

What did I wrong?

Some, not all, from the mod images won't work correctly.

Three possibilities:
- you forgot to add required file from Portraits/Various Portraits/mdl_NAC_Sup.png (in your case)
- you forgot to delete cached files - Units.Cached and Models.Cached and the game is loading the "old" ones.
- something does not work properly :)

Wonder how I could forgot to add the file.
It's just copy and paste.
And I checked it - Portraits/Various Portraits/mdl_NAC_Sup.png is in!?

How to delete the cache?

... SCW\GameData\Models, delete Models.Cached

Thank you very much for comments. :coeurs:

All the models of the mod are historical

To install the mod I recommend the program Programa Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME)

It's weird

Sat Oct 19, 2013 1:06 am

I think I got it now.
By the way, the medical trucks worked from the beginning.

I made a backup of the folder 'Portraits' and renamed it to 'Backup_Portraits - Orig'.

If I completely delete this backup folder, España 1936 takes use of the new graphics from the mod.
But if I put the backup folder with its changed name back to the graphics folder, then España 1936 use again at the graphics in this renamed backup folder?

That's strange, isn't it.

How to keep a backup now?

He uses JSGME? If you use it you do not need to do backup

Just delete Units.Cached and Models.Cached. Game will create new ones at the start. Do this every time you play around with graphic and models.

I deleted both cache files but the game still continue to use the vanilla images.

Now I have discovered, when I save my backup folder with the vanilla portraits outside the 'Graphics' folder España 1936 then accepted the mod portraits.

Again, what a great mod.
But I continue to despair what 'Land Portraits' I should use with the game. :p leure:

Meanwhile I am using the units of the excellent mod.

That simply because most of the units in the mod are much more detailed.

One graphic bothers me, however, very much. :(
I mean, every graphic that represents an infantry unit should be mapped with a gun!
This graphic, so beautiful it is here, it gives the impression of a single officer is waiting for something, or appraising something.

excellent mod. Expecially because it provides a consistent new look for ALL units, not just a few here and there while introducing yet another style, as I expected.

But the point made by Templer is valid. Your mod improves something that is already great. Tough choices result and eventually people may start picking their favorite files from both packs.

Having said that, the artillery pieces are still un-touched and could use some work :) They still look as if they were made by three different people for four different games (which they probably are)

I have tried it and in-game the original graphics look crisper and don't have such washed out colors, so I have uninstalled the mod. I don't know, perhaps another pass in Photoshop could improve things, especially on the Republican units.
