Well, the air war is represented abstractly - unfortunately.

I think I have seen tanks in some screenshots.
How are tanks, how is the tank war handled in España 1936?

Armor is a big part or the game. This is the place Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union tried out their early models. They are units.

Have you player Revolution Under Siege?
You get interesting tank units that you can use as infantry support or create "fast moving" formations and do some deep penetrations with them. Like early Blitzkrieg :w00t:
