España 1936 - To Conquer Fortresses

Fri Oct 11, 2013 11:06 pm

To conquer fortresses

In Napoleon's Campaigns, in Rise of Prussia and in the two games to the American Civil War anyway, you have to take forts, or even defend.

Is there something like in España 1936? Forts?

As you may know, by this time fortifications were pretty much useless due to more powerful guns. So entrenchments matter and some can be very powerful, but no forts.

No separated forts, but in some cases, like in Madrid, you can build (=via option in ledger) fortifications.

But that fortification is a fixed unit with an special capacity of trench. So you have to place the army in the same stack of that unit, but take care because a fixed unit doesnt retreat.
