Links between regions

Wed Aug 01, 2018 10:12 pm

Hi
in what file are the links between the regions listed?

And regarding the colors when using the shift key:
Black = Rail
Brown = Land
Light Blue = River crossing
Dark Blue = Naval Landing
Gray = ???

Well, in the region files ofc :mdr:

'..\CivilWarII\CW2\GameData\Regions\*.rgn'

I don't know what the gray rays mean. They seem to be inconstant, where as the Brown, Dark and Light Blues and Black seem to be pretty consistent.

I seem to recall that Pocus said he left it as-is, because the unclrear (gray rays) instances were inconsequential, and it wasn't work the time and effort to fix at the time.

Thanks.
Now, wasn't there a way to show the region number on the map?

FYI, the only other line I can see looks white to me. I get this to show a route overland where the region is snow covered.

LOL I don't think I've ever seen white rays.

Gray rays are pretty ambiguous, and I don't think you can discern anything from them other than that they are not black nor blue. I know I looked into them once a long time ago and found that they are not necessarily reciprocal. IE a ray can be gray going from region 1 to region 2, but from region 2 to 1 it's brown.

Perhaps the gray line indicates a dangerous location where one might encounter a fox. ;)
