And also, if there is a way to get rid of the red debug thing, and also scroll speed?

Yes, you can get rid of the debug display. There is an option to turn it off, if I remember right its called 'error logging', or something similar.

I don't know of a mod that allows you to change army names, but it should be possible to edit the pool of army names that get used. The faction files located in Civil War II\CW2\GameData\Factions folder are the source I believe - not 100% on that.

From my understanding, it follows historical names, as they progress thruought the war anyways, so no worries.

The list of Army names that are auto allocated are in CW2 > GameData > Factions if you are looking to mod them.

However, You can edit the army name on the map.
1. Unassign the army command (ignore NM and VP costs as they only apply at the end of the turn)
2. ALT + Left Click the Unit Tab for the stack containing the army commander to bring up the stack name dialog
3. Rename the stack
4. Reassign the army command and the name you assigned should be retained
5. Reassign any Corps to the army as they will have been lost when you removed the army command

The number of troops is a bit of an abstract since an element is measured based on number of hits.

At the element level you can see the number of troops in the bottom left of the unit information panel.

Select the unit in a stack and then click on an element in the unit box on the right to bring up that information panel.

I don't recall anything that shows number of troops in a unit or a stack.

If the stack bar is open at the bottom of the screen, mouse over the gray box (combat power) below any of the NATO icons and total number of men, horses and guns will show up in tiny letters at the bottom of each unit box. You may have to do a bit of arithmetic to get actual number of infantry (for example), since the number of men also includes cavalry- and artillerymen.

Also shown in the black stripe at the top of the bar will be the total number of men, horses and guns in the stack.
