Hi,

I buy every AGEOd game at release, but through lack of time I play them in intermittence (I haven't got round to playing the TYW one for more than a couple hours yet), I wanted to get back into ACWII but I'm at a loss on the confederate strategy it seems a lot harder than AACW.

Any tips on starting moves?
Do I put a lot into protecting New Orleans?

which option settings should I use so that it is fun but not overwhelmingly hard to play against the AI?

Is it jsut me or the difficulty in AGEOd games has increased over time, I struggled less with Espana '36 and RUS it seems...

Do you play primarily against the AI or usually against human (pbem)?
How you play will determine what is the best advice.

As the CSA you can dig your heels in and hope for the best or focus on taking D.C. as soon as possible.

Good luck!

If you are old AACW player, the big difference is you have to invest into 1 ironworks. Ws is more scarce in cw2 until you build some industry.

RUS can be daunting, at least in Gold version. Espana 36 is simple compared to CW2, so apple&orange!
