Playing a PBEM..Jan 1862 Plenty of fighting and I have not gotten any seniority change notification or promotion notification...
Also I no longer have the ability to change commanders in an exsisting army

Are you both using the same version? That might be the cause. Otherwise I don't see
why that would happen. Can you post a save so someone who knows code a little
better than I can have a look at it?

Another thought, probably not your solution - if you are playing multiple scenarios without exiting (like you play one game and then this pbem), you may be getting some data buffering. Try a computer restart and run the turn again.

A unit Commander gets a boost to seniority and promotion eligibility for killing more troops than he loses. So a Commander may have lots of fighting but lose what he gained for an overall difference of zero. In Jan. 1862 you only have 3 Army commands, so all of your unlocked 3-stars may already be Commanders.

That is not what is happening though..not one single change in seniority ..I won more battles than I lost..and my opponent has twice the casualites I do..
Also by the time you get McClellans Promotion...you have 6 3 stars (5 if Fremont gets removed)

Check the XP of the leaders who are doing all the fighting. It's the basis for raising in seniority etc.
