The Grand Campaign 61.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.

I tend to play GC 61 out oh habit. That said, as a Union player, I imagine a later start might have benefits, like the eastern armies being under one Army of Northern VA. In the 61 GC JJ and PGT's armies rarely merge, and even after Lee unlocks, you tend to see lots of little armies in VA, who seem to have a hard on for invading the hills of central Penn...

I like 1862 West Campaign, April 61 Grand Campaign, and 1863 Triumph and Defeat. I play as the CSA almost exclusively, but finished my April 61 Union campaign just recently and have played 1862 West as both sides several times. One thing 62 West has to recommend it is that the Far West actually matters to the outcome.

Grand campaign 61. I bought BRS to fund the development.

I like the 1861 with the later start because the CSA is more prone to go after Manassas to start the war.
