Video Tutorials and Let's Play!

Tue Oct 08, 2013 1:11 pm

Hi gents,

CharlesOnMission has now started to deliver video tutorials and soon let's play on Civil War II!

Charles Cumming is a long time fan of our games, and did among others things Let's Play on Ageod's American Civil War (on his spare time) and also videos for Alea Jacta Est. I warmly advise you to go to his Youtube channel to discover his production:

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0elpXyl8LDXJxQTNGdvk_zwB_ZYGv-0A

Charles is a volunteer and also in parallel to others hobbies runs the American Civil War Today website (if you did not get it, he is a a CW buff!)

Hi everyone,

The tutorial series starts off with the easiest campaign: Tutorial Basic Rules and will move into the more complex campaigns over time, eventually ending in a PBEM. I’ll try to do 1 tutorial a day.

The 1st tutorial is on Map Overlays at http://youtu.be/LHuwjpI3ICo
The 2nd tutorial is on Basic Army Structure and Movement at http://youtu.be/IIjFoi6Mqpo

There is also a full PBEM where I'm the CSA at: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0elpXyl8LDUze0kkI82f98CljkmHLviC

And a couple more tutorial series. So, lots there!

Charles

Anyone planning to do a Let's Play of the Grand Campaign? These tutorials are very helpful but there are a lot of other concepts to learn that are much easier to understand within he context of the game. I saw a let's play in German but alas my German is a bit... non-existent.

Hi, I've started an AAR PBEM (I'm the CSA). This will focus less on the tutorial aspects and more on standard gameplay. There is a thread in the AARs if you want to comment on it, or just comment directly in the videos.
