Movement and stack size

Sat Sep 07, 2013 9:00 am

Hi
In ACW the speed of an stack is affected by external and internal factors, but among the internal factors size is not one of them. However historically the size of a force has a big impact on his rate of movement, the larger the force the slower the pace. That was especially true of large forces that moved with large army trains that in turn greatly slowed down movement. So my question is , is there any chance to implement that feature in ACW2?

Another related issue is that Union armies as a norm moved with much larger army trains than CSA armies, that were consistently faster and more nimble, It was not only a question of adding fast mover trait to a particular general. If that is also somehow implemented I think we could have a game in which a slowe but more powerful army fights a lighter, faster opponent, giving the game more historical flavor and adding to variety of strategies that would neverrtheless be in concordance with historical accuracy.
