Welcome, Massi. We are all thrilled that AACW is being recreated and are anxiously awaiting the finished product. It's a great game, I hope you enjoy working on it and I know we will enjoy your art.

Am I the only forum member who is amazed that a development team composed largely (exclusively?) of Europeans has produced such an authentic game on the American Civil War? I was at first reluctant to buy it for just that reason, but after trying all the others I realized that this one is the best.

thanks a lot guys. :coeurs:
I really like working for this game and the team is really positive, the historical period is very charming! I love it.
I have little pictures to show, because I work a lot on games units.

I am currently painting the leaders, with a lot of detail, I try to do as if they were of old paintings.
but also the ships are really nice.
I show you the CSA gunboat modelled in sketchup and rendered in 3dsxmax.

I do not know if you've already seen this rendering ...

Welcome massi! I look forward to seeing your work both here and IN the game when it is released. AACW is a game that has endured and is very easy to immerse oneself in. If you guys can somehow make an even BETTER Civil War game that keeps the flavor yet enhance the gameplay ... well, I will be one happy retiree!! Thank you.

In this example I'm showing you how I worked on naval units

once I have found the right size for the ships, they are passed to the rendering to convert them as game units.

I used a realistic light source (Mr. Sun + Mr. Sky) which is based on the coordinates of South Carolina at about 11:00 in the morning (but not sure), this is a detail that Stanley Kubrick would have loved :D .
As for the rendering engine I used the super realistic Vray in 3dsmax. ;) "

What a great job you have massi!

Really nice pictures. I see we are going to have excellent graphics in ACW2. Just the detail of painting the pictures of the leaders is enough to see how AGEOD do things. :winner:

Massi, I received a link to your page because I use Google to search every day for the word "Massi." I am really impressed by your artwork, and I hope that your game does well. Is "Massi" your first name or your last name?

Best regards, Vincent Massi

Wow... I mean, that's above and beyond. Nearing OCD level of detail. Kubrick would indeed be proud. Fellini as well. Can't wait to see how your work is implemented into the game. Bravo!
