There will be quite a few more revotls coming up, don't worry...consider the NM drop as "natural" peasant discontent for your armies exactions... :w00t:

There was something wrong with your ord file and it was not showing up. So I made a blank order for you.

I see :)

Still, it would be nice to do something to remedy that. It's one thing if a country is shattered, and another if my armies are sitting idly, if taxes have been at zero for years, and population needs are 100% met every turn... It's paradise ;)

Well, we'll consider that for the time PON will have China a playable nation, which is not the original design (and thus the IA being not as good as a player, the situation was to develop according to more or less historical lines). At least you have the 'moral' satisfaction to be a much better Emperor than the actual one and no one would dare rising against your dynasty ;)

Huh, just saw this now.

I can't imagine what was wrong since I've been running turns from day 1, and haven't missed one yet afaik, but I appreciate your fixing the issue Brian. Thanks much!

Are we a turn behind here? I can run it, but I've lost track of the deadline.

I just got home, I can never really reliably run the turn on Sundays until very late. I'll run it now though.

It would be great if someone other than me, who had the circs to do so, could commit to running the Sunday turns.

Deadline is supposed to be 6:00 EST but in practice it always works out to 'around 6:00' as I can't always get to the turn at exactly 6.

Obviously if I'm late anyone can feel free to step in for me :)

Thanks!

Anytime I'm late by more than a half hour or so, please feel free to run the turn yourself. You or anyone else.

I know it can be a PITA to get a turn in for the next day if I'm too late, but it's just unavoidable at times.

So how's everyone's production holding up so far? I'm noticing that most countries seem to be awash with extra goods - not just in this game either - and I suspect wastage/corruption are getting a plentiful meal every turn. Yes, there are technologies in the pipeline to boost up national demands, but so are other production enhancements.

Does anyone feel like national markets should be bumped up a notch?

I'm pretty good on mine so far. Too much coal, mech parts and steel, but steel isn't affected but the nat market and coal will get rare soon enough. When the goods get too high, I just shut down production for a turn or two to balance it out. So seems ok, pretty well WAD at this point for me. Not sure what anyone else thinks though.

So at a risk of sounding like a nag... can China gain an ability to build roads please? I mean, Colombia can do that. :) And schools, trading posts, all of that would be nice too. After all, it's a Confucian culture with a long Silk Road history... :)

No problem, my apologies for not getting around to it.

Do you have a decisions file already edited with the changes you'd like made? If I have to do it myself I will, but it'll take longer than if you do it :)

Well, first, can the CHI events file in DB have all BEL faction tags changed to CHI and Wallonie to Baoding? Because it's currently doing nothing but doubling Belgian options.

Here's an excerpt from the supposedly Chinese file:

SelectFaction = $BEL
SelectRegion = $Wallonie
StartEvent = evt_nam_BEL_GeneralConscriptionTracker|0|0|NULL|NULL|$Wallonie|NULL

As for actual colonial events, I'm kind of at a loss here. I can't find them... yet.

Ok, understood. Can you post a corrected file for me, at least in as far as you've figured out the issues, BEL to CHI?

If not, I'll work on it, but as I've tried to mention and be clear about, it'll take some time for me to to sort out.

I went ahead and modified the CHI reforms file in DB. All I did so far are straight replacements, BEL -> CHI, Wallonie -> Baoding

Hmm, looked like the old file to me. At any rate I just did the same to the file in Game Files\VGN\Events since I hadn't seen your post :)

So not sure if only you and I need the file or if everyone does. Just to be safe, would everyone please download the new CHI Reforms file? Thanks!
