Hey guys, hope you're all doing well. Glad the game is still going. Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it back into the game anytime soon, so was hoping you could take me off the dropbox so I could get that space for my dropbox. Thanks!

All the best,

Lukas

Lukas, I believe you have to unlink yourself from the Dropbox folder.

It is an an Austrian objective fwiw and yeah the Montenegrin army was destroyed long, long ago.

With this said, what sort of peace do we impose? I see the following options:

1. Austria wins, and keeps control of the region. We script the end of the war, and the transfer of Montenegrin territory to Austria.
2. Austria wins, and loses control of the region. We script the end of the war, and the transfer of some Montenegrin materials/monies to Austria.
3. Draw, Austria withdraws, from region, return to status quo ante. We simply script end of war.

I think option 1 is the most likely scenario, and would say that we should impose that option on the belligerents. What are other's thoughts?

Naturally the Ottomans would be against an Austrian expansion. But it happens that we are now allies, so 1. will be it.

Here is the script to end the war, with the transfer of Montenegro to Austria. I am adding to the script repository.

SelectRegion = $Montenegro
StartEvent = evt_nam_End_of_War_Austria_vs_Montenegro|1|1|eNULL|NULL|$Kabul|NULL

SelectRegion = $Montenegro
ChangeRgnOwner = MON
SetControl = 100

SelectFaction = $AUS
SettleWhitePeace = MON

ChangeResStock = $merDiplomat;-1

EndEvent

No, it was fine, thx for asking.

However, my laptop broke down and no success in revitalising it yet. Hope to have it fixed early next week.

Sorry folks, I am dropping out of the game. I soon will have much less time available for gaming, and the inability to produce early battleships after having researched the tech makes this game quite frustrating for me to play anyway. I will PM bjfagan my password in case anyone wants to take over China.

Gentlemen, due to the limited time I have too and the fact that I am the only processing the turns, which takes up much of the time I could devote to doing something as Germany, and the fact nothing is really going on anyways in game with the few players we now have... maybe we should just end it.

This leaves us with 3 players (1 with computer problems).

How about a grand war to end it on (the 3 human nations vs. the world)?

Well that would definitely be interesting. I could stab Russia in the back, since they are leaderless at the moment.

Was hoping for the Russian turn. Still working on the computer I guess.

I finally had back my laptop as well as some time after a crazy week at work.

Jim's idea sounds interesting, I would give it a go, in the present frequency (i.e. a turn every 2-3 days), if any.

I also understand if Brian has no further interest or incentive to go on.

Brian and I talked about it, and we decided to kill it. There was no interest for several days.

I would still hate to end it, but at a lower frequency of turns, since I am the only one processing them, I wouldn't mind continuing for a big war. Now that Nemethand has his computer back. Maybe we can rope PhilThib to take Japan and go after a leaderless China.

But if not, I can just play on my own every now and then and see what happens. Germany was already going to war against Belgium.

I would hate to see it being dropped. I am quite comfortable having it on power save mode. I just brought the Ottomans up a bit. :) So the game is still interesting for me, even without a war going on. Above that I will be going on a two week holiday soon and thus the action would be too early for me.
I wouldn't mind to give it another try on processing. I would need the correct files then for ai countries and such.

No one can play Japan (as we don't have the password used). That is currently the 1 country I know we can't play. I am fine with continuing. This would mean that Germany would also go to AI (as Bjfagan isn't submitting turns). We also need to make China AI as well.

What is your stance Nemethand?

I will submit German turns and process the turns, just doing it every day has been tough.
