Hi,

Need some help here.

As a beginner, I play Japan and am now in 1858 but since last turn when I press the next turn button it brings me back to the main screen and saves the game.

So it is now impossible to continue to next turn...which is sad knowing how much time it took to go to 1858.
I exited the game, rebooted...doesn't work better.

Did anyone have this problem before ? I didn't find anything about this on the forum.

For information, I began playing this GC on V1.04 and recently updated to V1.043 + events hotfix.
Approximatly 10 turns went well before I encountered this prob.

Any help would be appreciated as I would really like to continue playing this GC and starting a new game with the probablity to encounter the same problem would be too time consuming.

As a side note I am still not able to construct any factory, but I suppose it is normal for Japan in 1858 ?

PS : I love this game !

For information, found another topic mentionning the same problem meanwhile.
Pocus advised to load a turn before.
I reloaded up to 5 turns before but all saves seem corrupted...and pressing next turn returns to main menu.
I'll try a new game with zipped saves option.

Sorry you're having this.

To your specific question - I think Japan would really struggle to build anything in the early game. Its after the Boshin (?) War that things open up for you.

It might also help if you could post the turn log - that'd at least indicate if its an event that is tripping up your game.

Not obvious to find logs as I started a new game since.
