Contradictory Installation Error

I purchase the d/l of PON as well as its add-on campaigns.

I of course installed PON itself first.

EVERY add-on informed me that my PON software was not up to date (before allowing the add-on to be installed; running "Update" on the PON main panel informed me that I was completely up to date.

Attempting to start the game from the main panel yields the following error message:

"Settings Erroneous value or family while reading an AI Affinity Reading Affinity 0"

Could someone kindly explain / walk me through this one?

Thank You,

Oz

You bought PON from which outlet? Seems Steam to me.

First, you should try to run PON without any DLC, if something goes wrong there, then this can be a right problem (not running as administrator or having Windows UAC kicking in).

Hi & Thanks.

I d/l-ed directly from the Matrix site; am ignorant steam ... and I presume "DLC" is, "DownLoad Code ...?)

ATM, strictly trying to run it as an admin yields the above-cited error message.

Thanks again,

Ok, Matrix version is rather user friendly, don't bother with the message about not being up to date, this is just a warning, kind like 'are you sure you are up to date'...

I would say you should de-install the game entirely, then install it somewhere else than in C:, do you have another partition drive?

And then, don't install add-ons, try only to launch the game and then do a tutorial (or even just end turn), tell us if things are going well. If no, then Windows is probably preventing the installation to be done entirely, or this can also be an anti-virus, like Norton.
