Indeed, a beard so far over the top deserves to be properly displayed on the map :)

Its interesting to see how Japan is using naval invasions. I think the reason we don't see this in the 1850 campaigns is the AI doesn't build ships, clearly once it has the tools it will happily do invasions (I saw this in my game once I scripted in some late war fleets)

Epic Tirpitz beard indeed!

HerrDan, you might need to make sure you corrected the link to the 3-star version of Admiral Tirpitz as well, otherwise you may lose his face again when he gets promoted! ;)

Your campaign goes pretty smoothly, Daniel, and you have abstracted the Japanese invasion very well. The AI works rather well so far. Keep us posted with beautiful screenshots and every now and then zoomed out maps with various filters (mainly MC) to understand the various fronts and situations.

Poor Chinese. Hit by left and right... :(

We were able to mediate a cease fire between Russia and China, negotiations are under way. On the other hand Japan continues its agression against the chinese, they're blockading most chinese ports and are sending more troops to Korea, this of course doesn't please the russians and the tension is rising there, I fear we maybe won't be able to prevent a new conflict in the region from erupt, but as a security measure we have sent a squadron of torpedo boats and a Marine division to our naval base in Guam.

Following our naval expansion program we are now going to build a Shipyard Complex in Danzig, we need to strenghten our armies and navy to face the challenges of this new century that aproaches.

The russians are getting more bellicose with every passing moment, every now and then they're getting into conflict with another country when not straightforwardly declaring war, as was the case with China, it's seems that my cousin Nicky doesn't feel any kind of constraint when it comes to achieve Russia's goal, no matter the cost it might take, specially now that Russia is allied to France (as a player I'm not sure if this behavior was engouraged by the script I made to establish a deffensive pact with France, but if it is the case, it's a very realistical posture for the AI to take). So to defend the german people and their interests I therefore feel it's my duty to let our Empire prepared for war.

This really complicate further the situation for China, if we cannot trust the Qing Disnasty to keep order inside their country we'll have to consider to take some measures. We doubt the british are going to intervene directily, but this kind of thing surely tilts the scales in Japan's favor when it comes to whom we're going to support in the sino-japanese war, even though we're still against a direct intervention, I'm sure the british already chose their side.

Well, what should I have against Denmark? They're good partners, besides I play with historical claims(and historical SOI [sphere of influence] and historical pool btw...) so I can't simply annex Denmark, to do so I would have to change the game options (something I don't intend to do in this game). We don't have claims in Denmark.
The russians are a different story (btw someone got to do something about that bastard Putin...ok it's unrelated to the game, I just couldn't resist cursing Putin), war with them is just a matter of time, we have many objectives in their theater and our interests collide, so you can be assured that this war is gonna happen soon and I don't need to annex Denmark to cutt off their wat to the atlantic, I intend to blockade St.Petersburg itself when the war comes.

What worries me (as a player, I'm not roleplaying at the moment), is if Italy and Austria are going to honor our deffensive treaty in case France declares war on me to defend Russia. A war on two fronts is something we would love to avoid, but it's something I know I'll have to deal with, at least we have the fact that the german empire was historically able to defeat russia soundly in the first world war, sp if we manage to keep the british or/and the americans out of the war there's a great chance for victory.

Wow, never seen a Troopship before. I guess it can handle more transported troops or what. Don't let me look on the stats, tell me yourself... is it technically a large transport? Actually, all transports in the early game are either "tiny" or "small" as far as I can remember from their icon. A dedicated troopship could mean carrying entire army corps easily where they are needed...

This is the Troopship, the icon says it has a medium transport capacity:

Actually, steam transports have a large capacity, according to the icon, the early transport you're talking about I think are the wooden ships from the early 1850 campaign, right? Here is the steam transport, cheaper and with a better transport capacity:

The Steamer looks more spacious. Well, looking from the stats an element of steamers is 3x ships, in contrast to 1x troopship. But the troopships seems to be doing "boarding" attacks as well, wondering if this is working at all: I always thought close-range attacks in naval combat are only torpedo exchanges.

Good to know the game has many complementary force pools. If we ever have a GOLD version of this game, I will do my best to repass all the force and structure pools to be certain everything is built as it is supposed to be built. This, for me, is the most important aspect for a balanced game.

Keep us posted, HerrDan, especially as the inevitable Russo-German war approaches... ;)

Yes, the troopship is 1x ship, while the transport 3x, that makes a difference, I'm wondering how the "board" attacks would work in the game (anyway I'll probably have the chance to test it soon). I'll keep you all updated about my game.
