I'd like to know if it's possible to increase the number of terms in campaigns to extend playing time.

Hi and welcome!!
On AGEOD games you can usually keep on playing after the last turn, when the victory screen appears. No need to do any moding, just give orders and process the turn and the game will keep on going.
But of course, there will not be more historic events and the like, but you can keep playing as long as you want to
