Merging units?

Is there a way to merge say two legions with low manpower to one?
Basically can you merge units with one another? Im pretty sure i read something in the manual about it.
But i could be wrong though.

Hi
No, as a rule of thumb, and unless I am forgetting some specific case you cannot.
For sure you cannot merge two understrength legions.

Ok, i was so damn sure that you could.
Dont know where i got that from.
So a unit is a unit basically and has to be reinforced through the force pool to get full strenght?

In most scenarios you really don't want to merge legions, because they won't become available for re-recruiting.
