City battle bug...?

I think I have found a weird bug, I have 2 1 star leaders and about 10 legates in Athens, my opponent has around 70,000 men under Pompey outside the city and has assaulted the city this turn, for some reason Pompey can not take the city no matter how many times he attacks, in every battle the Caesarian force holds off the Pompey force losing no men while inflicting casualties.. I have attached the saves so you can have a look... you can process the turn using the files in the previous turn zip and the results I got when I processed the turn are in the current turn zip file, have a look and see what you think, thanks :)

I'd like to add a couple more strange city battle results. In a recent game, Pontus assaulted a much smaller Optimates force located inside at city. Approximately 20 battles were fought over the coarse of a month. Toward the end, 95000 Pontus troops repeatedly assaulted 4500 Optimates troops with no loss to either side. The files for the battle are attached:

Also, please take a look at this previous post. Interestingly, all three episodes (the one by Highlandcharge and the two in this post) involve forces attacking a city.

This too happened to me in several games. I manage to kill all the cohorts in the legion and yet an handful of legatus managed to repel alone thousands of troops.

The same thing has just happened to me in a game - I just wondered if there was an update?

just to add, I've reported what looks like the same bug happening in Rise of Prussia, same thing of an infinite loop of assaults against a self-replenishing remnant in a city

We still investigate this issue.

It seems to be a nasty one.

Answered you. Ideally a test bed with a small 'immortal' unit against non depleted enemy would be ideal.

Same thing here. In a battle 11 men killed some 6.000 men lead by Marc Antony.

I have had 2 games where I have run into this bug, In my case they have both been in AJE... in both cases me and my opponents have agreed a fair way to carry on and have played on... I am going to see if I can get engineer a repeat and post the files :)

It was the Legatus legionis who were the immortals in my games as well... is it a problem with them?

It's a general problem with support units in multiple AGE games. (Confirmed in RUS, RoP, and AJE) It's not overwhlemingly common, but enough to annoy me at some point in all of those games so far.

Yeah reading around I see what you mean, I play AJE and RUS mainly, there are very few sieges in RUS so I have only come across it in AJE in 2 pbems I am playing, annoying but with in both games we have agreed a compromise and played on..

Thanks Bohemond, any idea when the new patch will be out, will it be released to coincide with BOR next week?

Thanks

AJE Patch, it should be Pubic Beta first, should be released a few days before BOR.

That means soon.
