Mercenary War - people choose the commander event working as designed?

I'm playing the Mercenary War as Carthage and chose the event that costs 15 EP in order to get rid of the disputes between the Hanno the Great and Hamilcar factions. The description says there's 50 - 50 chance of either faction winning. I got lucky and Hamilcar won. However, if I understand the result screen correctly, the loser is supposed to be reinstated in his military role as general. But in my game Hanno the Great just disappeared and I only have Hamilcar. Not that I miss Hanno (he's an awful commander), but I'm just wondering if there's a bug in the event.

The event in fact either eliminates Hamilcar or Hanno from the game. The text of the event is not the right one, will be fixed, thanks
