I keep getting this message - perhaps its because I usually just lurk around not doing much.

But it then says "Click confirm to revert him to the AI."


I was playing Otho and variously got Minor defeat and aargh - crash to desktop something about winter textures"

This normally happens when the game thinks there are two players. If you had been looking at the other side, and making orders for it, then the computer thinks you are playing a PBEM, and that you should have orders for your opponent each turn. You will get that every turn from now on (until you fix it). It doesn't do anything, but is an annoyance.
