Memory insufficient CTD

Scenario: Caesar/Pompey
Side: Caesar
Specs: Intel i5-3570K, 8GB RAM, Windows 7

Was just about to process a new turn, game jumps back to main menu, I hit continue and CTD.

That was on third turn, which seems quite abnormal indeed given your amount of RAM. Try to reduce the amount of RAM the application can use (Options, System, Memory Usage), check 10% and restart. Sometime less is better...
