Regarding the 2nd Punic War, where is Gisco

Thu Apr 14, 2016 11:07 am

One of Hannibal's top lieutenants yet I found him nowhere in the campaign. This scenario has been highly detailed historically so this would be an odd oversight. Is he in the campaign under a name that I am not recognizing?

There are several Gisco's in the Leaders database for the 2nd Punic War.
One of them does appear in March -214 in Carthago.

Do you have a more specific name than Gisco to provide ?

The famous one, Hasdrubal Gisco. Not of course Hasdrubal Barca. Those Carthaginians and their small name pool.

Yeah, but the Romans weren't any better; they had only a couple dozen names in common use. Hence, all the nicknames.

That is the 1st punic war date.

2nd Punic War was 218-201. That is the conflict where I am looking for Hasdrubal Gisco.
