Carthage strategy in BOR

Thu Nov 05, 2015 11:42 am

In a PBEM game as Carthage I'm thinking to go with the option 'Hanno pushes war against Numidia'. Unlock some units in Africa and either bring them to Sicily to fight Romans or defeat Numidian forces and siege their forts. As it would take time and Roman navy seems to outnumber Cathage, would it be better not to go to war?

I won't read this thread
"Umbrellas will not be opened in the presence of the enemy." Duke of Wellington before the Battle of Waterloo, 1815.

"Top hats will not be worn in the Eighth Army" Field-Marshal Viscount Montgomery of Alamein K.G.

Sorry to be so tardy in an answer you likely needed yesterday. Probably your initial idea of going for the African forces gives you the best margins of forces.

Thanks for the reply. I decided to go to war with Numidia and come back later to Sicily if Ebbingford's Roman navy will allow return. Decision also based on when Romans blockade ports, supply was hard to get in Sicily for a concentrated force. Kingdom of Syracuse also changed sides earlier.
