Nice! Really looking forward to see how the hit-and-run mechanics of ranged Parthian armies work.

These Parthians are such pests! Must remember to bring plenty of archers and cavalry when I tangle with them. Sounds good but still anxiously awaiting the Second Punic War and the Gallic War.

Is the entire expansion Parthian or is it just one/two maybe three (Crassus, Trajan, Marcus Arealus) with some other scenario's thrown in? Personally I'm hoping there's something besides just Parthians though I definitely will buy it first thing no matter who it is.

A wise choice

Good!

The Parthians were always difficult opponents to the Roman legions. A force relying mostly on heavy infantry can be in serious trouble against armies that have large numbers of light cavalry armed with bows.

I hope you've found a way to improve the performance of cavalry in battle. I don't want to see the Romans butchering light cavalry like nothing, if they can't even catch them!

I am looking forward to the Gauls and the Celts but I will take what I can get. Although it is still going to be awhile before I finish up AJE.

wouldn't the map need to be expanded to the East for Parthia?

It is now June 6 2013 AD. Anything happening on this auspicious date?

Oops I should have said June 9 ...

For those who do not use Facebook, I just noticed on the AGEOD facebook page:

Il y aura une campagne 'what if' également!

my extremely rough French skills translate that as
There will also be a "what if" campaign"

So that's some interesting news I think! I always like me a good what if campaign!

Yes, indeed, one of the campaigns is a "what if" scenario pitting the Parthians against a certain great name in Roman history :)

Could that be a certain individual who has had a rather important role in the naming of your game? :)

I suspect that nothing will happen here until ACW-II gets released later this year as all hands seem to be on deck for that title. Then look out Parthia!

Indeed, most of the beta team is active on cw2 right now, so the release is slightly on hold right now

I understand an American Civil War game will probably be more profitable than anything else you can make, considering how popular that conflict is among wargamers in the US (and to some extent also elsewhere), but I hope to see many more expansions for AJE too in the future. There are many ancient periods and conflicts that aren't yet included in AJE.

Hi, PJJ

No reason to worry, Parthian Wars expansion is going to be released most probably in the Autumn, and another expansion is already being prepared by our Master historian, ElNino.

As long as there is interest and support, we plan to stick around... :)

I hope so! AJE has become my favourite Ageod title, so naturally I hope it has a long life left. :D
