I´ve been working with exmap and GIMP and now the boxes of Axis and Moscow are integrated in the game.
Also i achieved to make the rail movement for the first time, there was something wrong with the regions files.
Things that happen when you are learning how AGEOD developes its games and try to understand the logic.

So its time for the units excel file :bonk:
Also new version of the map, corrected some details of roads and mountains.

railway implemented in all the map(now testing).

While preparing the unit excel file i wonder what means the column "weight"?

It is used for 3 things:

* naval transport
* attrition / plunder
* rail transport (note that if you make weight 999, a unit won't be loaded on boats nor can take train...could be for instance case of heavy fortification gun batteries you don't won't to see moving).

You can copy your weights on those from RUS anyway

I mean build weigth.
I see that some RED artillery units have 1 build weight valor, they are units of only one model.
But i see another like the heavy Red Art (uni_RED_Bty) famili type0 $famHvyArty|4 and build weigth of 2. I thought it should be 4.

Not always you can use mathematic linear progression...we just want to limit the production of certain types of units by gender rather than by numbers...a gun "factory" can produce many guns, but cannot switch to firearms or cars so easily, or even convert into barracks for raising / training infantrymen...the whole idea is more or less that, to avoid players build up too many varied things at the same place....this can only happen (in a limited way) in very large economic or industrial centers...

Same here! I've only just spotted this thread. I really need to find time for this game! Great work Leibstandarte.

Im still with the units excel file. This part of the project is hard and delicate. And Real Life leaves me just a bit of time for this.

but still advancing!!

No veo cómo puedes sacar tanto tiempo libre.

Almost finished v01 of units and models excel files is time to work with the setup file to replicate my work in the script file.
After that will come test work to tune correctly the values of the different models.
More tasks to do:
- Create lots of leaders and its images (also investigate more about them)
- add new events
- work with the texts (excel)

Better i use more english now.

I read that you have problems with first turn because the alzamiento take very few days and use a full turn to represent it is not very good for the lose in days... maybe you can create an alt version when scen is finished and you want do it with a turn 0 where both sides can select options using political points like "take Sevilla cost x % of succes 80%" etc etc, this can create a more variable scen.

The problem with fronts... well, this needs AGEOD touch specially if they want release more "modern" titles... maybe add entrenched front as new structure where both sides can do it in same province with a limit in troops that can garrison the trenches and you cant move more troops if they are not under enemy attack (you can move in the entrenched province only in offensive posture).

A little thing... the Popular Army units are going to use red color in icons or you plan use purple???

And again great job

At the moment the Republican Army will be in red Color.
About the fronts im working with the 'control zone' my idea is that 2 brigades could have control zone to make impossible or at least more difficult to move across the front than in other AGEOD games. And a new idea is to put a citie in eac region with strategic valor in order to make players defend them, to defend each own region and that creates a front.
A general use of March to the sound of the guns, i. e. more armies, more corps than in other AGEOD games.

There is no problem about first turn. In the game first turn is 18 of July, as it was historically. The first turn movements correspond to 18-24 of July.
Lot of units will be fixed simulating the real situation of lots of units still taking control of their cities and fullfilling its lines with more men and armament.

I see, i understand that first turn problem was in the lack of players choice.

Ummm the brigade ZOC is a good idea to cover the front problem... use cities maybe not specially because many of the fronts where really far from cities... i see a little variation of this, use fortified zones/redoubts to improve a lot ZOC values, i dont know if is possible change their bonus to patrol values and change the units you need to construct one, maybe only using 2 supply units and 0 arty units (maybe change arty requirement for 1 infantry unit).

Well, this all a question of test hehehe.

Nice screen.

A little question, how you are going to simulate the creation of the "Ejercito Popular"???

-By events all them... or made appear initial first units and when do it buying them as other units because are avaliable

-Using commanders with bad stats to fight BUT with trainer bonus (i refer to have some generals as trainers to improve militias to regular units)

or a mixture off all??? events to have first units, trainers to buff non anarchist militias and buying them as regular units.

Thanks.
