And lithuanian Sylvestras Zukauskas? :)

Named it LIT, but should be BAL. There are other portrais available but seem to me to be posterior to the RCW

Nikel ---'Zukauskas' looks really good!

nice work :)

I found an interesting site with WW1 era german general images

The Prussian Machine
http://home.comcast.net/~jcviser/

follow the next link at the site to 'German generals during The Great War' ... there are a lot. I haven't had the chance to check but there may be some that could be used in 'Drang'

here is an early Rommel... it might fit the game better; there is a chance that this picture is too early! Better than WW2 though IMHO

Excellent work, thank you very much. And for God's sake, Rommel looks like in pre-academy age in that picture :)

yeah he does look real young... he was born in Nov "91 so should be about 26 or 27 during RUS...

I just hate the picture used in Drang probably 50+. ;)

For comparison purposes here's Rommel (and his wife) in December 1917:

Actually looking now at the earlier picture, isn't there Pour le Mérite medal on his neck there too? In that case it can't be any older picture because he received the medal on December 1917!

The forgotten general, Boldyrev. Supreme commander of the Siberian Whites until the arrival of Kolchak, but nevertheless you can miss him if you do not look carefully :neener:

Besides he is a 4-star general using a generic portrait :D

There seems to be an error in the russian name in the database where he is named Болдырев, А.Г., his name was Василий Георгиевич Болдырев, so should be I guess Болдырев, B.Г.

Hi All,

Nikel, Josef Jiri Svec is fantastic; really a great picture, :)

Boldyrev should be there he is in my graphics folder and I remember him from the mod ... the MDL file says generic that's the issue... anyway very good work!

OH, sorry. I use Clovis mod to check and he was using a generic portrait in the game.

Also checked your mod, but did not find it because was looking for a WH3 commander, but in your mod is WH2, in the database there is also a WH2 Boldyrev, but must be a different person, the portrait I think is of WH3 Boldyrev

yes there are two Boldyrev (didnt notice that) and now that mod is official they are both generic....perhaps to correct the mod I really don't know which is correct :( --- anyway.. thanks for your work Nikel. :)

The portrait is from the russian wikipedia, and there is no doubt (if the info in the wikipedia is right) that he is the 4 star general WH3 Boldyrev

Do not know who is the second Boldyrev :(

Found casually and finally a decent portrait of General Grichin-Almazov, commander of the white Siberian Army at the start of the campaign

It is never too late for Voitsekhovski to have a decent portrait in the game, he still had one of the worst! :niark:

Hi, you mean Syrovy, don't you?

Yes, the army portrait was badly formatted, here is a correct version. The unit portrait is above i this very thread.
