Leader display... WAD?

Hi,

A question.... I noticed that leaders combined with Regiments forming Divisions (GREEN CIRCLE) display on map as the primary regiment type(RED CIRCLE). If you split the division, the group on map will then display as the 'leading General' graphic. So is this WAD,NEW, or just something I had not noticed? Thanks!
