unwanted (developer?) text box on map

I'm getting a text box on the upper left side of the the user screen that appears to be a developer tool that conveys information on the graphic interface in red text. I appended a screenshot of this. Does anyone know how to make this go away? Thanks ahead of time.

Options. System. Uncheck Error logging.
