Hi !

The game always shows all saves for all sides and i cant hide the "AI" save files (the option does not work).

How do i know which file to load ?
Is there a trick to make the "AI" save files disappear ?

Search in the game Save's archives, then it shouldn't be hard to delete them.

TIP: If you want to free some space in your computer and want to delete all the RUS saves fast, you should precisely go to that place. Deleting the saves in the game menu is a very slow move.

Yeah but it alwas makes three save files every turn !
I dont care about deleting them but i cant figure out which file to load and the "hide AI saves" option seems broken.

This usually happens becouse you turn-off the AI activity. Game developers must have thought that players would turn-off the AI to make their own experiments and this was to help them...

When the AI is turn-on, the game usually dont make a save.

The button (click to see AI nations files) is working here, I can watch or hide them. Just in case are, you using the last version?


Nevertheless you know the file to load because you know the faction you are playing with, don't you?

Using the latest steam version, button does not work.

Saves say only "en" or "en1", everything else is the same and dont state which side that is.

I have not steam version, it is very different.

We are talking about RUS Gold, no?

Yes its RUS GOLD, from Steam so automatically updated to the latest version.

I do not know if the button in your installation works, but the screenshot is OK.

The factions in the russian civil war scenarios are the reds and two whites, if you are playing with the communist of course you must load RED, if not the white faction you play western (WHI) or eastern whites (WH3).

Normally the second button in the right would show/hide the factions played by the AI.

Those are saved games that you get clicking the save button.

what campaign (dont like scenarios) and with what fraction would you suggest for a first time RUS Gold player with EAW experience and basic knowledge about the russian civil war ?

Finland first...

Maybe Polish-Soviet war...

We can have a multiplayer game, Grand Game co-op, if you want.

Well, if you want to avoid the shorter scenarios, I would go directly for the Grand Campaign, sure you will learn a lot of history. Do not forget to take a look at the documentation included in the game.

Regarding the faction, probably the eastern Whites.

Old post, but it's funny no one noticed that game saves all players 1-turns. So if someone pick new game and saves it without finishing 1st turn, there are all (3 sides = 3 files) saved game files

They disappear after doing that second turn, though, leaving only one file with human player choosen faction.

They do not disappear, they are hidden, just click the button "Click to see AI nations files".
