RUS on Desura

Tue Jul 22, 2014 2:19 pm

RUS seems to be on sale on Desura, 66% off. Does anyone know whether the Desura DRM will interfere with mods, patches etc?

Cheers.

AFAIK, Desura is mainly a download platform:
What you DL, once bought, should be exactly what you could buy in Ageod own store.
So, once installed, the game is too exactly the same.
Short answer (however not an official answer): No, the Desura 'drm' does not interfere.

Thank you for the response ERISS, after checking around the forums and seeing that a Gold version seems to be in the pipeline (at some point down the road), I thought I would just wait and buy it directly from AGEOD store :)

There's rather one actual dev' on Gold next version, so you might wait for a year..
Maybe buy RUS at now, to get used to the big russian theater and be the most ready when Gold is out.
Or ( and !? ) maybe, ask for being a beta tester and help the very dev...

Thank you for the clarification ERISS, tbh I don't think I would be much help as a beta tester as despite owning a few of the AGEOD games I am not that proficient at playing them nor understanding the underlying mechanics. Anyway, will certainly be keeping an eye out for the Gold version when it comes along :)

Publisher of RUS in Desura is Immanitas, which is usually not good for devs: some devs from other games tell they don't earn money as they have been own by the contract...
