Will it make a difference, rolling back to 1.02b having installed both 1.03 and FY mod? Will I need to reinstall Clovis' (Athens) mod after going back to 1.02b?

Thanks.

I have been waiting to play this game now since what seems to be the beginning of time itself and getting on in life it seems that I will never ever live to see a working patch released.

So what news on a patch please?

Annoying, yes but I am currently playing with no obvious problems 1.02b & using Athens' Fatal Year GC mod - having fun.

Cool. I notice with Stock Campaign (I thought now I would try it out seeing as 1.03 works) as Reds that Bonch-Bruyevich is always unactivated. Is this design decision that we need to train troop always in Moscow?

Also Cheka never formed, message log stated that not enough military control? Had military control in moscow regions?

Yep, Bonch-Bruevich is chief of staff in the Red Army GHQ so he can't move to command on the field.

I don't understand the problem with Cheka. Is it Cheka repression or Cheka troops ?

No, when you get the first Cheka unit in moscow with the newspaper report? Towards end of 1918. Said not formed lacking military control in message log.

Did you hold Moscow at that time ? Try the 1.03 version by the way :)

In behalf of my own experiences you should try to get your hands on Totalcommander from http://www.ghisler.com, because there you can easily unzip any usual zipfile because of its incorpration and you can add any other new unpacker program very easily thus that will be no greater problem anymore.

Although if you wish that not you should look for the WinRar programm which has an intuitive interface.

Graphics :

Jack new portraits are in :)

Hi Seb.

I am not very familiar with RUS portraits but just in case is useful... ;)

Grishin-Almanzov (Grichin in the game) is supposed to have a portrait in the mod, but not in the game where is using a generic, so all the modded portraits are included in the patch?

It should be unless some were not received in time. What you can do is to post here the missing ones

Too, I had show pictures of Grigoriev and Terpylo in the portrait thread but didn't succeded in making game files, and nobody did..., so ingame they have still generic pictures too despite we have what necessary.

Also Martynov, they are easy to spot because they are army commanders.

I guess that there are a few more.

Edit: comparing the units folder I cannot see many of them, can someone confirm?

The missing leader portraits are not a bug. SEPRUS only incorporated the portraits Jack made into the official patch. Everything I made is still only available as a mod (or with Athens' Fatal Years).

That means the mod still contains almost 80 portraits that are not in the game. You will certainly notice it if you play the Siberians. Most of the Southern White and Red leaders are now in the official version (that was Jack's area), I mostly worked on the Siberians and the smaller factions (Polish, Miller's White, Yudenich's White, Ukrainians, ...).

I can't do more than offer my work to SEPRUS which I have done. They want to keep the leader graphics as uniform as possible therefore they have declined. While I am a bit disappointed about that, it is their decision.

Let's hope Jack makes a lot more portraits! :)

Perhaps you have to look at it the other way around: it's quite the honour for Jack that SEPRUS liked his work. I felt honoured when my work was included in RoP. If it isn't in RUS, I can live with that. Nobody promised me it would. :)

Besides, we should be happy that SEPRUS has managed to put out the best patch to date. With the hotfix, it is in very good shape. :D

New hotfix yet bugged.

Verion 1.03 without any mod. Run in debug error setting. I believe it doesn't affect actual AI routines or cause CTDs.

the more I play this the more I become convinced that RUS is one of the best strategy games I have ever played... and I have played many since the mid 80's. The AI in this mod is at level with Sid Meier's best efforts.
