Hi !

Do you build tanks and takodrome ? One need a lot of time and ressources, and I am not sur ethey ar ereally worth it...

So, if you use tanks, how ? Do you make tanks-only brigade, do you dispatch them among infantry ?

Jup, I use tanks, coupled with infantrys in brigades.
I think it doesnt matter if tanks are in brigade/div to apply thier bonuses to whole stack (if it works other way, please correct me), I have attached them due tgo organizotional reasons (faster forming of combat colums).
And why to use tanks ? they are not only excelent at attack on fortified enemy (reducing your causaltiles siginificantly), but they are usefull at defence too.

Yes obviously, but since a tankodrome requires 100 rubbles and 5 months of building, plus the price of the tank unit, I wonder if just buying more infantry and artillery for the same price is not more efficient and quicker to build.

Also, can tanks be moved by train ? I am not sure, the stacks with tanks seems be slower when using trains.

As concerns the White factions, building a tankodrome is a waste of money. The West is delivering you enough tanks for free.

Since that is rather obvious, I assume that you are playing as Communist. Here it is a tough choice. Money and (to a lesser extend) war supplies are the limiting factors. Here are my five cents:

Building a tankodrome early:
- considerably depletes your income in money and war supplies without immediate return at a time when you need to build up your army as fast as possible.
- IMO, these ressources are better invested in artillery early on (sufficient artillery is more essential to winning battles than tanks).
- I tend to buy armoured cars instead of tanks (they give you the armoured support ability as well, are cheaper, faster and not that much weaker; they lack however the disrupter ability which is significant against entrenched enemies)
- Overall, I think it pays off: save the money for a tankodrome and buy artillery and some armoured cars instead.

Building a tankodrome once the balance has started to shift towards the Communists:
Why not. But do you really need it at that point? And isn't it still wiser to invest in artillery and armoured cars?

Ok, thanks for your opinion, I will try to build armored cars.
