Hammer and Plough

I was reading an older thread about the Hammer and Sickle symbol. At this time, wasn't the symbole of the Revolution actually a Hammer and Plough? And was the new nation not the CCCP but the RSFSR?

I think this is more about historical correcteness though. We can't ban all Tintin albums .
