It is a very similiar system to the one we have been using for years to fight campaigns with miniature soldiers, though we use pen and paper and a non-playing umpire.
Would you be able to add an option that lets you fight selected battles outside the game, and then input the results and continue playing?
The data required to fight a battle on tabletop is fairly basic and already exists in your system:
- Province name and weather in the province.
- Army structures down to the company level. Provinces armies are moving from, and times of entry if moving.
- Fortifications and entrenchment levels.
Yours is the perfect system, with more than enough detail already there to populate a campaign system. The suggested additions need only be optional and would open the game up to all the people who currently wargame during this period and need a viable campiagn system. What do you think?
