The loading bar right across the screen and strange characters on the loading screen.
Note: To see the strange letters on the loading screen it is a good idea to enlarge the image.

I tried to create the error you clearly see, but cannot. I get a clean load. I wonder if this is a resident program which replicates text instead of a game system issue?

That error happens when using the "Limit Map Loading" in the Options (system) menu.
