Tournament update

Mon Oct 05, 2009 6:18 am

Sounds like all 8 games are finally rolling. Four "just" started due to hosting issues and errors.

Hello Daxil,

FYI, JDT vs SlimeyRock will have to be decided via default.
Unfortunately, for about 4 weeks we have lost contact with Kyle (SlimeyRock) entirely. Have tried numerous emails with no luck.

JDT should be declared victor by default.

As an update, my match with Cobra is on turn 10 and JDT has been our host so no delays expected in completing our match.

regards,
Johnnycai

Semi-Final Matchup

Mon Dec 07, 2009 6:43 pm

All,

Cobra has conceded our match, Johnnycai vs. Cobra.
I held a substantial advantage as Union after turn10. A couple of devastating battles for Cobra's CSA forces had left my Union forces within grasp of a victory by morale points. :)

JDT has also advanced on our side of the bracket.

Next round match-up will be Johnnycai vs JDT.

Daxil,
Please confirm the scenario we will be playing and how we can determine who will be host.

Congrats and good game,

I think we'll just do the first year (24 turns) of the 1863 scenario using 1.13b unless someone has a good reason to switch to 1.15. I know that corps not being available early on is an issue for the GC so it's kind of senseless to switch to 1.15 for one round then back to 1.13b for the final. That's my take.

Redeemer should be your host for the next round. Please contact him.

how come you are using 1.13? Does it have any bugs? Do you perhaps use clovis mod?

Thanks for the answer and put me down for next tournament
Forrest said something about killing a Yankee for each of his horses that they shot. In the last days of the war, Forrest had killed 30 of the enemy and had 30 horses shot from under him. In a brief but savage conflict, a Yankee soldier "saw glory for himself" with an opportunity to kill the famous Confederate General... Forrest killed the fellow. Making 31 Yankees personally killed, and 30 horses lost...

He remarked, "I ended the war a horse ahead."

Just to maintain consistency and to be honest I haven't had a chance to play test 1.15. That said, if the survivors wanted to upgrade we could. I think they're happy with 1.13b.
