I'm also looking foward to additional screen shots and/or more information.

Meanwhile, I have to admit I haven't had the opportunity to play any Ageod games before. Anyone care to recommend another Ageod game to help me pass the time before release? My current game collection is getting somewhat stale.

Hi Jamescott!
I suppose it depends mainly of your historical areas of interest.

If you like XVIII century history try Wars in America for the colonial part of the Seven years war and the American Revolution. Its also probably the best to introduce yourself on the game system as it has less complexities than the others.

If you have any interest on the ACW, AGEOD American Civil War is a no brainer. The most complete and successful game in the series. And is still getting better with every patch after two years :coeurs: . But beware, its complex and pretty time demanding.

For European wars you have AGEOD's Napoleon's Campaigns which offer lots of short and medium campaigns and scenarios that are ideal to play in an evening or two. In complexity is between WIA and AACW as it doesn't have production or economy like AACW but uses a more complex command structure than WIA.

Any choice will be good!
You have demos of all of them to try here

Very much appreciate the input. I'm downloading the WIA demo as I type. I'll give it a shot and report back.

I think that WiA would be an excellent introduction into the AGEOD games.

Nice 3D graphics! that piles of counters really stand out! :D
Looking at the map and units, it seems the game is finally about the Franco-Prussian war and not the SYW isn't it?
Just a minor last minute change of topic ;)

Are non 3D units still available like the other games. Even if the¨Prussian Musketeer is nice, i still like better the old figurine in 2D for Variety. :D
Are most of those river navigable to help sending supply and all ? They were important for the Prussian since they were in a central position.

What is represented in the area Zorndorf ? This area was covered with villages and Küstrin is to the South. :)

Actually i had a thought for the fortress or fort, except Küstrin in proximity, there were nothing except villages around Zorndorf.
It seems also that Frankfurt is on the wrong side of the Oder :( . This is Ok for Küstrin.

I agree, there was no fortress at Zorndorf as far as I am aware and Frankfurt was on the west bank of the Oder.

We don't have the code for the town but Wittenberg on the Elbe was a minor Fortress too.
I like most of the new art nevertheless i would have like better a Vauban-style rampart around the town. ;)
The type of rampart shown reminds me Vikings 's camp made with earth or early middle age.
The house are too small for my eyes to see if they look XVIII th german.

I guess some sharper angles on the walls would make the fortresses look more like star forts, but I like them nonetheless. What's that city that is on the opposite bank of the Oder across from Frankfurt?

If I am not mistaken, what you are talking about is an eye-candy town (something that is present too in previous AGEOD games).

I'm pretty sure there will be both 2D and 3D (as shown on the screen) army graphics. Like in NCP
Personally, i definitely prefer the classic AGEOD's 2D army stacks with the leader or units portrait in them :coeurs:
